Title: winload.exe missing?!

my cousin has a Siemens laptop with windows vista, i ran windows defender on it today to detect any spyware and got rid of a few, now when i start it up for him its saying that winload.exe is missing! did i do something wrong that windows defender got rid of winload.exe? how do i fix it for him?

Oh, you want to use the /fixboot option, from what I've read on this issue.
