Hi again.
What would be the best resolution for simulators e.g. railworks for a laptop with this:
2GB RAM
156GB Storage
Intel Celeron processor( NOT dual core)
Intel graphics media accelerator driver
1280x800 screen resolution
The reason is because when i try some of the resolutions e.g 1280x800 it becomes really furstratingly slow.

misread. nvm
Most ordinary laptops are not built for games with big graphic demands. Your best bet is to go down on the resolution to maybe 800x600 and that should help it alittle.
-
I have already tried that but it still is very slow and totaly unplayable. :'(
But thanks anyway.

You should probably look into getting a graphics card.

Kpac, it is a laptop :)
Sorry to say that the laptop itself may not have the guts to run the game as you want it.
As well as resolution, try turning off things like shadows, and lower the viewing distance in game, these two things can give a significant FPS boost.

Ugh......sorry. ::)

I actually went to currys digital yesterday and i seen a laptop with 3GB RAM that costs roughly about £375-£380 which is less than my laptop |V| because mine cost £400 AND my laptop only has 2GB RAM.
IT EVEN HAS A BETTER PROCESSOR THAN MINE! >:( it's the celeron DUAL CORE and mine only has the celeron (non dual core).
-
my laptop was 699$ and it's a Dual Core T3200, with 4GB of RAM and a DVD-RW burner.
I think 699$ is pretty close to 400 Pounds (hey, I don't memorize exchange rates), too.
But seriously, you are going to need a lot more horsepower to run that game. Even my laptop has trouble running most games (well, that's not 100% true, but it certainly can't compete with my desktop machine at all)

The fact is that a laptop is not meant for gaming.
