Title: Heavy gear - game bugs out and end of 4 mission

I have had Heavy Gear 2 for a while now and it use to run fine. I loaded it on a few days ago and it seemed to run fine, but at the end of the 4th mission, the one where you attack the cef outpost with the antimatter device it bugs out. It goes to windows and a messge pops up saying: Heavy Gear exe encountered a problem and needs to clse.

In the More information option it has this: Error Signature heavygear2exe AppVer:0.0.0.0 ModName:ntdll.dll
ModVer:5.1.2600.2180 Offset:0001of29

There was also a further option for technical details but I could not copy and paste it, and its way too long to write everything down.

Any suggestions as how I could fix this?

Try reinstalling it. Make sure you back up your save files first.

Post by: Razor on June 21, 2008, 04:14:51 AM: Heh, the website option got me going. I went to look for the official site, but couldn't find it. I did however find cheat sites, with one cheat being to skip the mission. I thought it might override the bug - and it did! Yeah! Not as fun, but at least I can get on with the game. Hopefully the bug does not happen at any other levels.

Post by: Razor on June 26, 2008, 04:09:35 PM: I know its not my way either but I can't find a patch. I'm going to keep looking because it does bug out on certain missions and I end up missing the game. I would be grateful to anyone who can provite a site with a patch or solution.

Post by: Razor on June 27, 2008, 09:11:37 PM: Done all that. I've totally cleaned it off my computer then reinstalled. Uninstalled with the save games backed up, then reinstalled. I have even told windows XP to run it as if in Win 98 which was was it was made for.
