Microsoft  announced a new Surface Pro to be Competitive with Matchbook and Chrome book laptops.

The new Surface Laptop shares features with its Surface Pro and Surface Book siblings, including a 13.5in touchscreen and coloured, fabric-covered deck. The 14.5mm thick and 2.76lbs (1.25kg) laptop will also have a standard USB-A port, mini DisplayPort, a headphones socket and Microsoft’s proprietary power connector which allows it to dock with existing Surface accessories. But it does not come with the newer USB-C, which has become common for both smartphones and computers.
I like it.   :)

Since I already personally own a Surface Pro 3 and am provided a Surface Pro 4 thru my employer (I love both), it doesn't appeal to me but it's a nice piece of tech.

One of my co-workers has a Surface Pro 4 and I think they are pretty interesting and flexible. I do still prefer my Thinkpad, though The Pro 4 is great for meetings- On Wednesday we were investigating a Data Issue that appeared on one of our sites that affected customer balances- Being able to flip it around easily as we're all looking at query data and invoices to try to see where the issue is coming from was quite useful in that scenario, and was faster than it would have been to try the same with my laptop, even though my Laptop has nearly the same screen res (2880x1620) and is a touchscreen, flipping it out into a tablet isn't recommended :P
