Title: Iastor
Post by: cervantes100 on March 19, 2010, 02:52:10 PM
The device, \Device\Ide\iaStor0, did not respond within the time out period. This is under Event Viewer ID9 (System). I have replace the harddrive, flash bios, reloaded OS, talk to Dell support, and upgraded the firmare for Intel Storage Matrix Manager. No fix. But this keep coming back in event viewer. I like to know your responds. Next possibility is to replace the motherboard on the laptop. Running Window XP Office Professional model Latitude E6500. Thanks.

Is your drive by Seagate by any chance?

There are some other options listed there, like reinstalling chipset driver.
Besides, that particular firmware may be be actually causing the problem itself.

Am I suppose to read that thread aloud?  :P
