Title: Explorer has an additional toolbar
Post by: Steve Michaels on February 01, 2005, 12:16:41 PM
 ???Just recently I got a new tool bar called TheSearchMail.com bar.  I have no idea how I got it, but would like to eliminate it.  I can right click the tool bar and can unclick it from showing, but it always comes back the next time I use the browser.  It does have buttons that are directed to X-rated sites.  Does anyone know how I can completely eliminate the bar?  Also, the first time I use the browser, it rediects me to a porn site of spyware site - any suggestions? - Steve

Steve Michaels.......What operating system are you using ?   Have you looked in your control panel .....Add/remove programs to see if it shows up there ...if it does ....remove it .
Lets try this D/l ......CWShedder ...from ....
http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cwshredder_download.html   get the stand alone version .......
D/l ....hijackthis ........from ...... http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html    Version 1.99

Run cwshedder and see if it picks anything up ........
Then run hijackthis and post your log here for us to look at .

let us know
