I was into The Sims, then Ultima Online, then Lineage II. I played Wish til they pulled the game from release. Havent played anything for about a year. Any suggestions?
-
Fable the lost chapters (or something like that) is very nice but a bit too short.
Neverwinter Nights is a classic and still good.
-
I'm playing Dungeon Siege II..that's fun..I don't play online though..When I play online I play Black Hawk Down... ;D
-
Yes DS2 is good too. I'd forgotten about that one.
-
Is Fable & DS2 online games? I didnt mention NWN because I saw u need to no script in order to play it.
Also do ya think I can play these games with a vid card like the All in wonder 128pro? lol. I just fried my Radeon 9800pro card and need a new one.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT.
-
You should have no problem playing any game right now with a 128 ATI. I have no idea what you mean by needing to know script to play NWN. It's a good game and there's no programming whatsoever needed so...
Fable is strictly solo play
DS2 is both. You can team up online or run and kill solo just like the first.
World of Warcraft is pay-to-play methinks.
-
WoW is pay to play. I wasn't actually replying to anybody's post... just shouting it out randomly :)
-
I think DSII is also pay to play..I'm liking the single player mode just fine though..I'm at Snowbrook Haven hacking my way through that part...I can't keep up with all the secondary quest so I stay basically with just the primary ones..Still fun though..

I'm eagerly awaiting unwrapping 'The Bard's Tale' on t' frosty christmas morn'. It runs on the same engine as Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.
-
Mmm. I've seen that. Althoiugh, the original Baldur's Gate games rocked, More D&D Style.. The later PS2 ones sucked... Though, Bard's Tale could be promising, need to get myself a copy.
-
Guild Wars is a good one and it's free to play. Made by a company that worked on WoW with Blizzard. They broke away and made their own. Good game. The biggest flaw is that it's always the same storyline with every character. But it's getting better, with new patches.
-
Bards Tale is OK. Im up to about chapter 11 now and bobbing along nicely. It has some different touches and some of the little songs that pop up from time to time are quite amusing. I can't help but look back fondly at games like Diablo, although it did take up pretty much all of my memory card! Bards Tale is good but I'm still waiting for the story line to appear and would like more interaction with characters.

An older RPG game(s) I really enjoyed is Gothic and Gothic II.
-
Phantasy Star 1, 2, 3, 4, Gaiden and Online Chapter 1 & 2.
-
I think I have probably mentioned this before but a game whose praises I can't sing high enough is Morrowind. Hours upon hours of joy filled RPG fun, can't wait for the next one...
At one point I also got addicted to online MUDs, I don't recommend playing these though to anyone who has got close relationships that are high maintainence because when I got into playing these I got so addicted I used to stay up playing til 6 in the morning!
Anyone played Champions of Norath? What did you think of it? I thought it was quite enjoyable but pretty easy, not too much longevity in the game play.
-
Morrowind was a great RPG game, can't wait for Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. I'm sure one day it will be released, last I heard February, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I agree about the muds. Great fun and super low budget. Zangband is a nice ascii game, cheesy but a good time waster. As for Morrowind.. I thought it was too open. I guess I need more structure and guidlines.

Curse you Horde! I'm on Kel'Thuzad, Alliance, and when it comes to no sociallife I could have you beat. 2 Lvl 60's, a couple 20's, 1 30'sh, and also had a level 60 in beta not to mention 2 or three 20sh. ;D
But honestly haven't played recently in several months. Been too busy.

Iam not much of a computer gamer. I play on my 360 and am huge into madden. That and Halo 2. The computer game I play is warcraft 3: the frozen throne.

i cant wait for Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, i remember having spent like......8 hours a day just wasting away playing Elder Scrolls III,
you could do anything(almost) you could kill a god, become a god, become a vampire, do the main quest, screw the main quest up....ANYTHING
Oblivion is going to rock my sox off

sorry dudes, but the sims and those games are to slow for me. I need games that require skill, not time (should I have said that?) :-X
