Title: Vista 64-bit - SFC couldn't fix corrupt file!
Post by: gbbg on April 16, 2014, 06:40:01 PM
Hi, I used the System File Checker tool (sfc /scannow) and got the following message:

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them".

Is there a solution to this?

A couple of things.
Reboot in Safe Mode and log on as Administrator. Try it again
OR
Find which file is wrong and copy itg from the install disk, if possible.
