Title: Setup did not find any hard disk drivers...
Post by: hadrien on May 13, 2008, 12:53:30 PM
Hi,

I am a newbie in this forum. Few days ago I bought a laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor i965, a Toshiba HD (MK32522GSX - (S1) ) of 320 Gb, NVIDIA Graphics card of 512Mb and without O.S.

I am trying to install Windows XP SP2 but within the process it shows the next message: "Setup did not find any hard disk drivers installed in you computer..." and I can't continue.

I've search for information and I've read that I should use a program called nLite and burn a CD with the drivers I need and the WXP ISO, but I have a problem because I don't know which are the drivers I need (I have downloaded many drivers from Intel but I don't know which is the correct) and how to use nLite with it, because it needs a .inf file and I have .exe or others...

Can anybody guide me a little, please?

Thanks for your attention!

The drivers for your hard drive won't come from intel. Look to Toshiba for those.

The laptop is not seeing the hard drive...not the HDD drivers.
Make sure it is connected properly and or there is in fact one in there.
Travel to the manuf. site for instructions...

Have you verified that BIOS sees the drive?

Hi,

I got it!! Using nLite I have burned an ISO with the controllers downloaded on Intel (   32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility for Intel® Matrix Storage Manager) and the WXP and that's all! It works well.

Thanks for your responses!
