What do you think of the new COD Modern Warfare 2?. I love the graphics but it lags sometimes and you cannot create mods like you could on COD warfare 1.

Haven't played it yet. I'm getting it next week.
The game made $310 million USD in 24 hours, breaking the world record. Must be good!

If it lags that's most likely your hardware or your internet connection if online, not the game.

a good tip is to clear your cache and maybe de fragment your hard drive, takes a while but it should be worth it.

After much anticipation i finally played the game over the weekend and completed it in 2 days. The game didn't have the same impact as the first one and it felt too short, confusing and rushed. I enjoyed the maps they looked great and my GTX 280 rocketed throught the game without breaking a sweat. All in all a bit dissapointed.

I would like to know what the people that have the game think of the seen where you shoot a group of civilians. When I first heard about this I was appalled. I then learned that you were playing an under cover operative which makes it better but is still horrible just that you are killing civilians. I don't have the game and I am debating getting the game.
1. What do you think of the mass murder seen? Was it necessary for the storyline?
2. What are the prose and cons for someone that will be playing on the PC? Don't care about the servers.

Ok if you are looking that deep into the game I suggest that you not play it at all.
Whether they are "Civilians" or "Soldiers" they are still just characters in a game and none of them are real so it doesn't matter. If you were talking about a real life situation there would be a big difference as it would be actual human life we were discussing. Please leave games and reality apart as they should be.
If you find your self getting emotional over a video game then you really need to evaluate whether or not you should be playing that game.

I agree totally. What ever you do don't play Grand theft auto if you have a soft side for an animated character in a game. :P
Also it does give you two opportunities to NOT play that level so it's your choice if you want to play it or not..

I realise that it is not real life and that they are not real people. But games are not only getting more realistic visually but game developers are always working to make the player feel like they are in the game and apart of the world. That is why I put it into two separate questions. The rest of the game may be amazing even though that one part may offend some people. So I will ask again. What do you guys think of that seen and do you think it was necessary? What are the pros and cons(other than the aforementioned seen) about the game?

First off its scene not seen sorry was niggling at me. The scene is violent and comes with two warnings. It's part of the game and is part of the story but you can also still follow the story without playing that level.
I think for myself that it's just a game and I play it as such. I for one like a bit of violence in certain games but I also know not to emulate these actions in real life as I'm normal.

Anyone with this game using a full HD monitor and 1 gig graphics card? I want to get it......

I have a 1920x1080 monitor, a 512Mb video card, and want to get it. Why did you specify 1Gb video card?

Because that's what I have! Hmm you only need 256 mb to run it and 1 gig of RAM.

The single player had a real epic twist in it! Multiplayer is amazing too!

I played it at my friends house I loved the game. The campaign is better!

I played it on xbox and it was really good :D I just wish that the PC version had dedicated servers, I dont want to play with a bunch of hackers lol. They kinda ruined the PC version in my opinion but I bet its still fun. x

I ported it to mac with cider, so it ran natively and I could put the graphics on high, but the game is still pretty ugly.
anyway, the action is awesome tough, so the graphics didn't matter much

the reason Modern warfare 2 laggs sometimes is because, unlike in the first one, they do not use dedicated servers so the games are hosted by a single player and if they are from a different part of the world from you it can cause complications

Latency is only one factor that contributes to online-multiplayer lag.
Other factors that produce lag include:
Bandwidth limits
Upload speeds
download speeds
Signal strength / connection strength
Firewalls / ports

im saying if that player who is hosting in the game is from russia then the pings of every otherp layer is likely to be higher, around 400Ms which is laggy

They try to put you with people that are somewhat close to you though

The game is definitely amazing but seriously lacking in single player mode. I finished it in 4 hours and 49 minutes. :P

I love the game but yeah too short for its price. What graphic card are you using. I am using HD5970 no problems in campaign but online it does lag sometimes. play it at dawn online no lags. must be the internet usage.
The game COD Modern Warfare 2 needs more blood and gore. Modern Warfare 2 with the violence in previous COD. That could have been better. More realistic that way ;D

I'm using a HD 5750. I've no problems either with everything setting to the highest available. My internet isn't really reliable, so I could be in the middle of an online game and it just tells me "Connection Interupted".

4870 and I still get around 100 fps. Its built on the same engine as cod4.

Its a good game i love the story line, but i hate the online play cos usualy its just fulll of camper usign perks to jam the radar, and using heart beat sensors, grrr i hate campers
