Title: When I click on my specific user it directs me to a default desktop.
Post by: samland15 on July 22, 2009, 12:22:19 AM
I've been having problems with my computer for a while. I originally thought it all had to to with the consumption of disk space, but after I removed about 11 gigs worth of pictures the issues remained. My computer has three user profiles and 2 of them direct me to the correct personal settings, but my primary user loads some sort of default when I click on it. The default has all of my programs, but the files are hidden and it won't allow me to make setting changes, (like changing the background). When I first started to have this problem, I'd click on my regular user and it would complain of some sort of error, (like not having enough space to direct me to my regular profile). I'd click O.K. and it would direct me to the default, which I would sign out of and then sign into again. It would then load the correct settings. Now it only goes directly to the default.

My internet has also slowed down.

Create a new user account and transfer the files from the old, corrupted one.
