Hi everyone I like to know how i go about removing my Hotmail account from my computer, which im about to sell, but i like to keep the account active to use in my other computer. Any advise will be great.

Since anyone can open a Hotmail account and can access their account via a web browser, I'm wondering exactly what you mean by "removing my Hotmail account from my computer".

Tufek100.... What you really should do , is format the machine and then reinstall the operating system on it ....... and then you shouldnt have any concerns........ unless .......the new owner has your hotmail login info .......(username and password ) formatting will remove all that from the machine.

I never sell and or give away any of my HDD's...that's just me.
Pull the HDD and sell it as is.

Guys, aren't we getting a little carried away here? My son uses Hotmail. He views his mail via web browser. Isn't that the way most Hotmail users do it? That means no mail is downloaded to his computer, as it would be with Outllook or Outlook Express, or other email clients. So, what is on his HD except possibly for a password? And, passwords can be changed.

It's probably autocomplete in explorer that he is referring to. ::)

I'm not getting carried away...i never sell or trade any of my HDD's....
As i stated that's just me.

You seem to be contradicting yourself here. Were you advising him to Pull the HDD and sell it as is, even though you would not do that yourself?

He is selling his machine...not neccessarily his HDD

OK, you meant remove the hard drive and then sell the computer without the hard drive. I gotcha now.
