Title: Need help with finding drivers
Post by: megathon on April 13, 2009, 05:58:02 AM
I picked up a used Hp pavilion xt963. No driver disk came with it. What I'm looking for are updated sound drivers and usb drivers. Attached is the dxdiag information.

Complete Windows XP drivers for that system, straight from HP:

Try with Driver Magician or Uniblue Driver Scanner, probably they will find the proper soundcard driver.
Cheers.

Please stop recommending a PAY program to find drivers...drivers are Free and that's not what we do here.
This is a Help Forum and we don't neccessarily want people pulling out their wallets for something that can be done with sound advice that costs nothing.
This is the 2nd time we've been thru this.

OK patio i do apologise about that, but according to his dxdiag text, his soundcard driver is installed. He can install his sound card also if he is going to google the  Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2415&SUBSYS_56438086&REV_02 . At least this is my opinion, or he can go to driverguide site open an account, which is free and download the driver.
He said that he can not find a sound card driver from the link posted by quaxo
Because of that I'm suggesting him to do so.
(all these are moneyfree)
