Title: moving office?

microsoft office 2010 on desktop from a paid for download,can i move to a laptop or do i have to buy another?

If you uninstall it from the desktop you can move it to the laptop i believe...

Do you still have the product key?  Did you download an installer or was it a download and install in one operation?

Make sure you have the product key before you uninstall, if you don't know it or have it written down somewhere you can use a program like Magic Jelly Bean keyfinder to retrieve the product key.  If you don't have an installer than you won't be able to install on the laptop.

The Microsoft Software License Terms (MSLT) for Microsoft Office 2010 allow installing on one desktop system AND one portable device.  The agreement is available at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13653
