my 2nd computer is about 7 years old and i haven't had the internet on it for about 5 yrs.
when i switch it on it works fine for about 15-20 mins then the monitor appears to switch off, i know its not the computer switching itself off as all the lights are still on and i can hear it running. but the only way to restart it when this happens is to switch it off at the plug and unplug everything at night before i can use it again. this has been happening for about 1 year now and i've tried switching monitors to a new one but it does the same thing..... after i had the internet on it i formatted the entire computer before using it again and it worked fine for about 4 years untill now.
is it the video/graphics card thats died or will i have to get a new computer????
i have norten anit-virus on it still but it expired years ago now.. is it something to do with this as i have heard alot of people have had problems with the software but i can't seem to remove it off the system????
please help!?!?!?!?

See, if same thing happens in Safe Mode.

I too would like to know if this happens in Safe Mode.
Also, if you could give us your hardware specs, that could prove useful.
