I was watching a movie and my internet connection started acting weird so i ran S&D and it eliminated a lot of trojanware which wasn't on my computer before. Afterwards it would not connect to internet at all. I've tried restoring it to an earlier install point and it still won't connect. I know it's only affecting my computer because my neighbor can still connect. I'm broke and can't afford to buy anything so the only solutions to fix this will have to be free because if it cost $ to buy a program i won't be able to do so.

I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

I'm can connect but it keeps dying on me. It also does a forced shutdown 1 out of every 5 network disconnection issues. I had to get rid of S%D because it prevented me from using the computer.

Have you talked to your ISP about this problem? Did you try resetting the router?

Would you deem it a risk not being able to see/touch the public/download folders? It doesn't bother me much since i never used them.

What do you mean you can't see/touch them?

I mean that i know they are there but i cannot touch them as the computer tells me there's no command for opening them. There's no direct path to my doc/pic/music/download folders because again it says there's isn't a command to open the folder. And whenever i save a document/picture/music or download anything it pops up again that there's no command to do so. I can still download stuff but i just have to close that ridiculous message and do it myself.

They won't open when you double-click the folder or file? Did you try right-clicking and selecting Open?

That first screenshot shows that you need to delete that Gimp .exe file and download GIMP again. If you save it in your downloads folder the name should be gimp2.8.4 setup. When you double-click on the setup, it will install on your computer.
