Some how in adding a new user on vista, i made both user's standard. Now I have no administrator and can't really do anything. I would just backup everything and reboot the whole system, but i can't back up without a administrator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what version of vista do you have?

Is it even possible to have no admin.? I doubt it.... Just to see, when you start your computer, tap F8 to get to safe mode, and boot into it. See if there is an admin account there ;)

Yes. In Vista, real admin account is hidden by default.

Enable real admin account: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/, make appropriate changes to standard accounts.
Make sure to hide admin account again. It's for your own safety.

MSDos is a pretty easy way to set ursepf up as an admin or create new admin accounts. If u search google for msdos account creation u should find some easy info if the above doesnt work.

There is no MSDOS in Vista...

It won't work, if none of the accounts have admin rights.

oh sry. I don't like vista personally so I never used it. Stuck with xp. But u can't open a command prompt or msdos equivilant?

Become the system user. Very easy via comand prompt. System user has the authority to create and change accounts. If it can be done on a protected school network, I should be able to be done on a home computer.

friends have it. Teachers on their personal computers. I've seen them use it and decided i didn't like it. They way its set up and everything.

Open a notepad document. Type "command.com" and save it to the desktop as "-whatever you want-.bat"
Open the file on ur desktop. It should bring up command prompt. Type in " at HH:MM /interactive command.com" where HH:MM is the military time 1 to 2 mins before your computers current time. For example if the time is 2:15 in the afteroon, you would type in 14:17. Close the command prompt and wait.
When your computer turns to the time u put in a command prompt will open. Press cntrl Alt delete and find explorer.exe under processes. End process.
In the command prompt that auto opened, type in explorer.exe (after the other explorer finishes closing, your start menu and desktop shortcuts will disapear) this will restart explored but you will be logged in under system. Alot of welcome screens pop up because this is probably the first te anyone has ever acessed this account. From here you can do whatever u need to do.
And that is how u hack a secure computer =]
