Title: [Solved] Graphics mess up while playing some 3D games.
Post by: LNBZero on October 06, 2008, 10:04:23 AM
Hey,

Well I've got a tread going on on this topic on over here (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,67792.0.html). But since I"m not sure this is a motherboard issue anymore I made a new thread for this problem alone.

Here's all the info so far:

Well, today I've been trying some games and a few keep crashing. With 2 3D games (Ragnarok Online 2 and Dream of Mirror Online) I see some textures mess up and then a second later all the pixels on the screen get randomized sorta. It's kinda like sort off diagonal lines that go through the screen and all the pixels on those lines are randomly placed all over the screen.

Calum was thinking this was an error with my graphics card overheating but after running some tests it pretty much stayed around 50~55°C all the time which is alright. So in the end it might be a faulty motherboard so unless someone else has a suggestion or something else I should test/try out I'll call the store I got it from tomorrow and see what they think and if I can replace it.

Yeah, so it's possible it's the video card after all. Any info about this? I could "try" to make a photo of the screen at the point it crashes and post that if needed.

Many thanks in advance again,

LNBZero

Your Specs are impossible to read...are renderers etc. necessary to list ? ?
When i hover over it it disappears off the screen...

Hey again,

Well I went back to the store today and... Later today they called me and confirmed the graphics card was broken. They replaced it it free and I can pick it up tomorrow.

Thanks for all help either way!
