Hey guys, I am running Windows XP on my PC and just downloaded
this game demo off fileplanet, but it did not work after installation so I went on to
delete the game. I did this by dragging the game files and folders into the Recycle Bin.
However, when I was browsing the Add/Remove programs menu, I came
across this game. So it is still in my registry. I clicked Remove but
somehow it wouldn't let me. I got this error message that says i
should complete previous set up or close other applications.
The error code I got was -5006: 0x80070057
I downloaded the program again but installshield
wouldn't install. it gave me the same error msg. I looked in registry
and searched for titan quest(the name of the game demo) and found some
files. 2 files were named titan quest and a couple more were named
setupdll and setupdll.cpp. One file doesn't have a name. just called
default.
Is it safe to simply just delete them? Any advice on how to
remove this pesky program?
PS: I posted this in the Windows forum as well in case this might be a Windows related problem.

Teck Loh LOL ....
I posted this in the Windows forum as well in case this might be a Windows related problem.
I'm more inclined to think it's a operator error .......... When you wish to remove something ........ the best way is to go into the control panel / add/remove programs .... or you are apt to encounter exactly the problems you now have created ........
Do you know /and are able to manually search the registry for any mention of the demo game ?
Here is how you do that.
