As it says' above I have this problem with I/e it some time freezes nothing works I can't even shut down. this can go on for a min/2.
then all is ok then the mouse stops working for a min,the I get the dreaded message( internet explorer is not responding.)
this happens every 10/15 mins  the( I/e is not responding not the others')'.I have been on other chat sites /forums and they have all been very patient with me. but I have got nowhere. I have tried adware// malware//spybot//Microsoft fix//and lots of other things but nothing seems to come close to fixing it .

1) If this only happens with IE, please try another browser and see if the same thing happens.

2) Have you run a full system scan with an anti virus app (you mentioned everything EXCEPT an AV)? If not, please do so.

3) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

Morning Allan. yes I have tried other browsers. Have also ran security like Malware//Adware//Spybot.
these got me nowhere ,yesterday it got worse I couldn't' get on my emails or Google so I took it into the shop,
and left it .I am sending this from my laptop. Will let you know how I get on.

Again, you did not mention an anti virus app. If you did not have one installed and resident it may well be that your system is infected. None of the apps you mentioned are anti virus apps.

Do you mean MSE? I guess that's fine. It's gotten mixed reviews but it's better than nothing. But you didn't mention running a full scan with it. Anyway, I guess it's a moot point now - hope everything works out okay.

Hello Ivanoe.
Check out my post -April 11th. Re I/E not responding after latest ( 8.1.1 ) update as I still can't get I/E to load, it's just disappeared. I have tried everything  I can think of and no go. I use Chrome and Firefox and don't miss I/E but would still like to know what happened.
Cheers.
Barry

Morning Allan.  checked your post did what you said went on installed updates .couldn't find the number you gave me but did find I.E11.
right clicked it it asked if i wanted to uninstall it, i clicked yes. then i installed I.E10. when it finished installing it said I.E 10 is now installed .
but i  still cant' find it.   every time i find a reference to it i click on it and get a white page and a message saying I.E not responding.
 How are you at mystery's'.

Hello ivanoe.
You mentioned Allan, can't see the post you refer to from him but my post ( bargun) refers to the link I found re the update problem and hopefully a Microsoft fix for our problem.
The mystery is, how did you uninstall I/E. I was under the impression it can't be uninstalled.
Good luck.
Barry

bargun said he was under the impression IE cannot be uninstalled - and he is correct. Your post has no bearing whatsoever on this thread.

Thanks Patio and Allan, for sticking up for me. We know you can't uninstall I/E. I have tried turning it  it off to try and repair it but it doesn't help.I think Ivanoe is a little confused over this issue. It sure is a mystery, to me anyway but I await the monthly Windows updates to see if they have a fix for it. As I have said, I use Chrome and Firefox so I am not overly concerned and I believe I/E has been having pretty serious security issues lately.
Cheers. Barry.

Hello ivanoe.
My I/E problem has been solved. Check out my latest post and see if it relates to you. My problem was Malware Bytes anti Exploit and if you have that you have to update to the latest version.
Good luck.
