Hey, i want to get a new graphics card but i am not sure what to get. What would you reccomend for me? I dont want to pay too much and if you need to know i have an Acer Travelmate 6492

That's a laptop, right?
The display measures 14-inches and the graphics card is also powered by Intel ? Graphic Media Accelerator X3100 chip.
Video is handled by a chip or chipset on the system board. I don't think it can be upgraded.

Unless you hand it over for a week to the local computer store ::)

OK, but it is possible to upgrade the chip, if he so wanted?

Only on certain laptops and only with deep pockets...

DwayneZ, see my reply.
No means no, he won't be able to upgrade. When I say something, I don't guess.
Even the ridiculously expensive and pointless external cards aren't an option for this laptop

I thought as much, my school supplied it and our IT department...
