Title: Audio CDs not being able to be played, ripped etc.

I have an Xp and ANY audio CDs i try to use will not play. i have tried using either drives and many different programs to try to play it, nothing will work. ANY HELP?? THANK YOU in advance

Is this a desktop system or a laptop?

Will the drive access data disks?

It could be that the audio cable from the drive to motherboard needs to be reseated.

yes. it says the disk is there by entering the my computer. it runs all data disks. it just will not play audio disks or say they are in whenever i try veiwing it another way. itunes windows media etc.

Did you open the case and check to make sure that the cables are properly seated?
