I voted for CLINTON.

Both she and her idiot husband are gun control nuts.      I could never vote for someone that has proven that they cannot think.

If you depend on who's in Office for your financial well being then you have the concept of Free Enterprise all wrong and are in for an awful bumpy ride in your lifetime...

This has been always my basic formula regarding politics, so I DON'T VOTE.
When I say something like the above patio's statement, most people look at me like there is something wrong with my head.

"gave"?    "gave" ??

Wow.......

By the way,  whenever somebody "gives" you something,  it didn't just fall out of the sky.
It came from somewhere.      Consider that.    It is important.

Also consider that if they "give" you something, you imply that it is their right  to do so, and it is also their decision NOT to give it to you if they so choose.

That's why I don't want them to "give" me anything....  I don't want them to have that power to decide, over me.

I DO want them to get the heck out of my way.
"Giving" is not the same as "not taking".

As long as someone is willing to say, "I don't care",  then it is ok if they don't vote.
It bugs me though,  when a non-voter wants to complain about things a year or two or three from now.

Me -  unfortunately I usually have to pick the lesser of two evils.   Or just flat out vote against one of them, by voting for the other one.    :(        Rarely is there ever anybody running for anything that I really like and want in office, across the board.
But, when I walk out of the polling place on general election day,  I am content in knowing that I can rightfully *censored* all I want for the next 2 or 4 years,  because I cared enough to go in there and express myself.    :)

Well,I believe in the fair tax idea and abolishing the IRS.

I voted for Huckabee. This would also cover my pro-life
stance.

I would also rather listen to him than the others, because
I am southern ,and fancy talk confuses us down here in
Georgia.

Hope y'all understand my reasoning folks... ;D

If Hillary doesn't win, she'll probably sue the citizens of the US for *censored* discrimination... after all, it is the democratic way to sue when you don't get your way. :P

" People get the Government they deserve"
                          Thomas Jefferson

I liked that one from the first time I read it.   There's a lot of truth there.

"Anyone who doesn't vote should live where they cannot vote"
                                      Me

What happened to me, was a realization -   many years ago.
Ever get in the booth,  go over the ballot looking for the names you've already decided upon,   get done,   double check it before you finish....   and see something over on the side that you weren't expecting?
It happened to me.
It was some mundane issue.   Some goofy thing involving a county far away,  and I wondered why it was even on our ballot.     I read it.   Decided not to vote on it,  since it was something I didn't care about.

As I was leaving,  it hit me!   I didn't vote (on that one thing) because I didn't care,  and that would make sense as to why so many people choose not to vote.

So I came to:
"If you don't care,  don't *censored* about it later"

And that applies whether is about a tax ditch two counties away, or the President.

.... my two cents worth....

I am hoping John McCain will win.
More information about McCain and the other candidates can be found here (http://www.reuters.com/news/globalcoverage/johnmccain).

Either Obama or Clinton, I prefer Obama - too many people hate the Clinton name.

McCain is so out of touch, he risked the lives of 100 of our troops last year just so he could tour a market and declare it 'secure'.  2 hours later someone bombed it.

As for Huckabee's tax strategy - you do realize that it's a sales tax so the burden will be shifted from the rich and onto the middle class and poor. Just like the Bush and Reagon Tax cuts did - and why we have a Multi - Trillion dollar deficit.

Currently a billionair like Warren Beatty (not the actor - a CEO) pays %15 income tax.  His secretary earning 90k pays %30.  Do you think that's fair?

You prefer it to be unequal   - percentage-wise?   Because the rich have more ability to pay?

hmm...   sounds like  "From each according to his ability...."    by Karl Marx.

and here I thought it was because of all the money that ALL the politicians -
i.e. Congress -  no matter what party,    piss away like water.
