I recently upgraded some hardware in my mom's computer, and since then, whenever Windows is started up she gets this message:
"Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service Has Stopped Working".
I googled it and found that it's somewhat of a common issue. These instructions were given on how to fix it, and it seems that they have worked for everybody who tried them.
"Got it... it is a DRM issue.
1) Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM.
2) Go to tools\Folder Options
3) Select the View Tab
4) select Show Hidden Files and Folders
5) Uncheck the box that says "Hide Protected Operating system files"
Click apply and OK
Refresh the view and you should see files in the DRM folde.
Move the files to the recycle bin
Now enable sharing in Media player
your problem should be resolved."
The problem is that i'm having trouble finding the ProgramData folder and anything that follows. If anyone knows how I can get to this folder through another route, fill me in please. Thanks.

Press Alt if your menubar is not visible.

I revised step 6 here on account of pressing Apply and OK being redundant.
Also you can just type the full path into the breadcrumb/address bar. You won't be able to see anything until you show the hidden files though.

I ran a search for the ProgramData folder and nothing came up. That's the first obstacle I guess; finding that folder.

I had to enable my menu bar first. Now I can see the ProgramData folder after showing hidden folders. Thanks BC.

The menus are still present. you need to show hidden files and folders first.
Here, I'll make it simple- change the options in folder options, close explorer, and then run this command:
explorer C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

Ok, now that I have access to these files, I was wondering if anyone knows what they are, and whether or not it's safe to delete them. There's a reason this DRM folder is protected, and I can't mess up this PC seeing that it isn't my personal PC.
These are the files:

v3ks.bla
v3ks.sec
Cache folder contains:
Indiv01.bla
Indiv01.key
Indiv01.tmp
