Title: Windows 10 on new laptop and wireless problem
Post by: solap9 on December 09, 2018, 02:50:57 AM
I installed Windows 10 Multiple Editions 64-bit (student Imagine) on new Asus laptop. Wireless did not work so I installed driver from Asus website. Now internet works very slow and sometimes it does not open a page correctly (shows just text, no pictures...). Some people said to me, that I need to do updates. I tried Windows update, but it never moved from 0%. What should I do? Go to https://www.asus.com/support/Download-Center/ and download all drivers or use SDI full from https://sdi-tool.org/ ?

New Laptop... and you already have had to install Windows 10 again ( multiple editions )?

Is this new as in a new-used computer?

Please share the model # of this laptop so we can see what exact ASUS laptop your having troubles with.

ASUS VivoBook 15 X540UA

It had Linux, but I needed Windows, because of work.

Is it possible that is maybe a hardware problem (I have warranty)? Also wifi at Linux did not work fast.

If it's still under warranty i'd return it immediately...

In our country, I need to be sure it is hardware problem, othervise I pay the technical check, if it is not hardware problem.
Maybe I will first try SDI, if still not then I will buy wifi dongle to be sure it is hardware problem.
