Windows 10 now has Edge, a newbrowser taht can read PDF.
But maybe you don't like Edgfe.
Or maye your favirte OperatingSystem is otcompatible with Edge.
Whatever, you have lots of slternatives taht are still free.
Here is a short list:

▐ Foxit reader.

At one time I stayed away for the Adobe Acrobat becuase it was such a memory hog. But now with better hardware the latest version does very good.
Whcih one do you like best? :)

Foxit...hands down.

I use Sumatra PDF, though I'll usually install several. Except Adobe Reader.

like you Geek, Adobe got too big a while back.
switched to Foxit, loved it for ages till they did something (ad pop-ups from memory).
now back to Adobe, and like Norton's, they seem to have learnt the error of their ways and have gone back to their traditional good, plain, software model.

I also have WPS Office; its word processing component, called Writer, will also open PDF files, but I have Foxit set as the default PDF reader.
