Title: clicking in speakers

when i turn my speakers on there is a loud clicking, sounds like someone is typing, can anyone please help me?

Please explain in more detail.  Does this always happen when you first turn on your speakers?  Does it happen intermittently or sporadically after speakers have been turned on?

it happens when i turn speakers on and never stops

Are you sure you speakers are connected to the right jack on back of your computer?  Are you using onboard sound or an add-on sound card?  Does Device Manager show any problems?  Run dxdiag, go to Sound and click the Test DirectSound button.  Was it successful?

Thanks.  I'm not quite sure what "it" was that solved the problem.  I guess he didn't have the speakers connected right.

speakers were hooked up right , they worked fine till the other day i was  listening to a trailer on blockbuster and they started clicking, i ran the test in the help coloum then it stopped. hasnt done it since.
