Greetings to the Group - I've been trying to delete the files in the Recycle Bin but it won't delete them. The error message says "can't delete folder is not empty". I also have some files located in the external hard drive that also won't delete for the same reason. How can I get around this and force the system to delete these files?

Restart PC and try again.
Install www.ccleaner.com and add it to the Recycle Bin. Try to delete with it.

Are you saying there is a folder in the recycle bin ? ?
If so double click it and empty it and then try to empty the Recycle Bin.
If this does not work then empty it from Safe Mode.
