Post by: Intimidator on January 04, 2005, 03:28:53 PM
When I try to download a pdf file from the internet
the box comes up and shows the pdf file it is downloading  and the type (Acrobat Control for ActiveX)
and it just sits there for a few minutes then it comes up Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet
site. The requested site is either unavilable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

Sounds like plug-in for IE is missing.  Reinstall Acrobat Reader.  New version 7 is released, but only for WinXP and Win2k;  Win98 still uses version 6.

Adobe Reader 7.0.0 (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3852.html)

I have tried to update Adobe Acrobat and it does the same thing. Should I uninstall it and start over?
