Title: Are you sure you want to delete 'WINDOWS'?
Post by: And345 on August 28, 2004, 03:42:35 PM
Help! I am using WindowsXP Pro! Today I was making my weekly 'clearing up' and deleted a few stuff that I didn't need! When I emptied the Recycle Bin, it still showed that it had something in it(u know... the sign with the full bin)! Well... I just tried to clear it again when the message: "Are you sure you want to delete 'WIDNOWS'?" appeared! I of course pressed NO just to be sure! Afterwards I checked the contents of the Recycle Bin but nothing... then I enabled the option to view hidden and protected files but still nothing! What to do?

Please Read This First - Viruses & Spyware (http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=14;action=display;num=1089181015)

I suggest you install the applications recommended.

I donot think the Trashbin is capable of removing Windows. You would have to do this by going to Add/remove software.

Perhaps a Hoax (http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/h/hoax.htm) has been pulled on you?
