Has anyone delt with theese rat bastards before? They're a complete mess, and I have an open dispute with them. I bought a 5000 w power supply from their store, and its completely dead. Dosn't work whatsoever. :( They promised to replace it if I had an RMA number so I filed for one....WEEKS ago. And as I turns out, There is a time limit for refunds...Like 21 days after the sale date....Bastards. Anybody else deal with crap from them??

1. The Date you ordered the PSU .....
2. If you used a credit card ...have you contacted your credit card company.
3. The Date you recieved your order
4. When did you Contact them to ask for a RMA
5. Was that by phone or Email
6. Did you get the name of the contact that replied to you.
7. When did you recieve their reply.
Do you have the documentation to support what you have stated ( this is most important)
I know a lot of questions ,but they are necessary.
Please let us know .

Ok, to answer your questions:
1. The Date you ordered the PSU .....
-I actually won it from their ebay store...but it was "Mar-09-06 00:14:08 PST"
2. If you used a credit card ...have you contacted your credit card company.
-I paid with a Postal Money Order
3. The Date you recieved your order
-March 24th I believe
4. When did you Contact them to ask for a RMA
I contacted them on March 29th to inform, them of the defective merchandise (ill show it below)
5. Was that by phone or Email
-Email
6. Did you get the name of the contact that replied to you.

March 29th, then later that day I went to the site and filed for a RMA, and I heard nothing..I waited until April 2nd and emailed them again. Again I waited but they say they always respond in 24 hours, So I opened an EBAY Dispute on April 3rd to get them on the ball! They responded the same day and said
"Hello,
Please submit an RMA for your Power Supply and we would be more than happy to replace
it.
Buypcdirect"
I replied and said I already did, and that was all I got from them.
Do you have the documentation to support what you have stated ( this is most important) I have emails, The actual ebay dispute I Filed, My invoice slip...what do you need??

Ok ...just looking at the info provided .......
You received your PSU on March 24th ...... But you didnt report it defective until March 29 th ......... how come ? You still have a copy of your sent Email requesting the RMA I hope . ( the March 29th one) ... Then on April 2 , you sent a second request for the RMA ...... and you have a copy of that.
Then it was only after you filed a complaint with E bay ..... that ....buypcdirect.com would happily replace the defective PSU ( and this reply came from Buy Direct or Ebay ).....
When did you receive the RMA # from Buy Direct ?

Ok, first off The reason i didn't report my supply defective right away, is because I have an oldddd house with primitive Electric. None of the outlets (besides the kitchen and basement) are the "3 hole outlets" Therefore I couldn't even plug it in. I had to get a few outlets chnged over before I could even try it out. I have never had a computer in THIS house before....
And as for the RMA, i never got one from them. I asked twice and got no response. I filed for one...but it was on their site so I personally do not have a copy. I even asked them If I did it right/Coplete a few times but they ignore me now i guess.

How did you determine that the PSU was DOA ?
When you emailed them... did you use this Email address...... [email protected]
One thing about their site ....it has everything right there and easy to find , so I dont think they are a flyby nighter ........
You say you paid via Paypal ...... I thought you won it ?
It is my opinion that a phone call to them would sort this all out .... In fact you could probably do the same thing thru Ebay ....however it would be best to talk directly to a manager at Buy Direct ...... They certainly wouldnt want the bad advertising they will get as a result of this ......... So you are out of pocket for what ...just the shipping I assume .

Well, I got everything all plugged in and ready and my fans didnt come on at all...So I poped in my old 420, and it wroked fine.
I bought a whole case from them, not just a powe supply...sorry!
Ill try giving them a call now,I tried once but they didnt give ebay a number.

Sometimes the best price is no bargain. I agree the lack of a contact phone number is disconcerting, as well as the lack of response.

Horrray! A few threats and an grumpy word or two and a new power supply is on its way! "Johhny" gave me a name and bumber to call and it was all cleared up! I didn't even send the old one back OR pay s/h yet either! ;) It should be here tomorrow. Thanks again guys! The help is MUCH appericated! :D
