Title: Build is complete but HDMI is not reading
Post by: alexanderthedecent on March 13, 2017, 07:11:27 PM
My parts list is at the link below.
My monitor is connected to the PC through HDMI and the screen reads 'No signal'.  Previously, I put the PC together and loaded the BIOS updates, then I installed windows 8, and everything was running smoothly (no monitor problems).  Then I transferred the pc from my brothers house to mine.  I had it in the box it came in with protective styrofoam, so I don't think it could have been damaged during the drive.  Now the PC starts up, but the HDMI is not recognized.  I'm worried that something is wrong with the graphics card.  I also don't have a vga cable to try out.

Even when well-packed, a graphics caned can come loose.
Open the case, check all connections, re seat the RAM and any PCI cards.

I already replied to your previous thread here: http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,160084.0.html (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,160084.0.html)

Can we please keep help on the same issue confined to a single thread otherwise it gets confusing to follow.
