Title: How to enable Registry Editor ?
Post by: Vikram Varaprasad on December 16, 2009, 06:01:13 AM
Due to virus (regsvr.exe) my registry was disabled. Whenever i want to open it , it shows the message "Registry editor was disabled by your administrator". I'm the only administrator for my pc. I removed the virus completely but i don't know how to enable the registry.

Where can i enable it ???

Sounds like lingering effects of the virus. You probably haven't completely eliminated it.

no, i eliminated the registry entry by using other registry editing tools and deleted startup entry, the original virus file resides in c:\windows\system32 and i deleted that too securely. No other effects were done. Now my system is working at higher speed but the only problem is disabled registry.

I tried in services and in group policy list but couldn't found.....
Help me.
