Hi to everyone, newbie here. I have a problem with my laptop & desktop. Everytime time I start up my computer, the date would reset to September 05, 2020, 10:01 AM even if I would change to the current date & time.
Can anybody help me with this problem? Thanks
Chime

Are you saying that you have two computers that have the same problem?

I've got 3. 2 desktop at my office & a laptop at home, all have the same problem. I already change the batteries on my desktops (2032) but still the problem persist. I'm pretty sure that it's not a hardware problem. I think it's a software or worse a virus.

All the exact same time and date ? ?
Are they networked ? ?
Any synching software being used by chance ? ?
If it's a virus i've never heard of this.

yup, all the exact time & date every start up. the 2 desktop are networked. no synching software between the 2 desktops except the 1 used by my O2 atom fone.
I've just discover a minutes ago that everytime I would open a file (any files) in my flashdrive, it would also reset to that same date and time.

I suspect the phone though.

I sync my phone to my wife's laptop and it works just fine

I've already scanned the flashdryv thrice with AVG & it comes up negative. Also tried it to other PC and nothing happens. I bought a new (out of the box) flashdryv & still everytime I would access the drive, the date & time would reset to the one listed above.

After running the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.33 it has found 3 infected files (see log below) and after deleting all except C:\WINDOWS\system32\msnmgnr.exe (Backdoor.Bot) my computer is back to normal again.
I greatly appreciated all the help that you guys had extended to me. Thank you very much.
