I have never seen or heard of a BIOS that requires you to press enter. You must be pressing the wrong button.

What BIOS are you using and what is the make of your PC?

If you look at the boot screen as the computer is starting it should tell you which key, or keys, to press to enter BIOS setup.

You sure it isn't the DEL key?
