I am having a problem with my sound driver it is "Conexant high defination audio driver". Whenever I try to install it I get a error message that reads could not find the media device for this driver.
-
Any errors in device manager?
-
No, I did not see any error in device manager, it's listed there but it has a caution sign next to it. That what it looks like.
-
Well that's an error - but it probably just means the driver is not installed, which we already know. Let's start at the top:
1) Did the sound ever work? If yes, what happened that is causing you to try to reinstall the driver?
2) Where did you get the driver?
3) What OS are you using?
-
It woked last week, I did a system restore and it still did not install itself. I got it off my hp's website b/c I have an hp computer.
I am using windows vista.

What happened between the last time it worked and the first time it didn't (new hw, sw, virus, error, etc)?
-
I just keep getting an error every time I try to install it.
