Hi again. I have another wireless question. I have two computers hooked up to my cable connection. Mine is a running windows XP and directly connected to the router. The other is Windows 98 and has a wireless connection to the router.
I would like to be able to share files easily (and quickly) from A to B. Right now, sending a file to Computer A from B takes the same amount of time as if I sent it to a friend in another state. Is it possible, and if so, can someone direct me to a place where I'd learn how to do this? I must be putting in the wrong search terms because Google only gives me networking for sharing the same connection.
Thanks!

What means are you using to share the files? Windows Explorer? And how large are the files?
-
I've only tried passing them through IM clients like YIM. The files I've sent have been 3-15 mb.

Well that will never be quick, I'm afraid. Using Windows' shared folder facility you will be able to transfer the files (Windows Explorer - drag and drop) at speed.
Need some pointers?

Yes, that would be great! When I had dsl with the two computers, all files sent quickly, but neither was wireless. Is that why there is a difference? Any information on how to set it up would be very much appreciated!
