Title: Opening .exe

I have recently installed 'Ubuntu" on a pc, and was wondering how to run .exe files??

Canonical answer

1. .exe files are Windows executable files.
2. Ubuntu is Linux.
3. Linux is not Windows.

Supplementary answer

Some (not all) Windows executables can be run in some Linux OSs by installing software called WINE. It is not really for the beginner.
