Unfortunately, you can't get rid of IE. It's part of Windows.
You don't have to use it, though, as I don't.

we must keep this from the masses. The great Broni must not become known as as IE user! It will tarnish his reputation... and you can only clean so many layers of tarnish off...  ;D

no problem. Most people that frequent myspace can barely remember what they had for dinner the day before. Any stigma will be short-lived... although the most common response would be, "that's great. Who's Broni?" And they will be told they should tremble in fear before him, as he is strong and just.(And also quick to anger). But they will not tremble. So we will strike them down (all the more amazing as this is through the internet). They still will refuse to tremble. So we attach them to a massage chair. It trembles, they tremble, we are satisfied, and return to our spaceship full of exotic plant life and fly to eastern Arizona, where we subsequently dig many empty pits in the sand. For no good reason.

Any time, my friend.
I tell you this - almost 6PM PST, and 66F here. It's been like this for last two weeks. Personally, I don't remember weather like this in January.
On the other hand, since we're suppose to meet in Mammoth, the snow is a scarce. How can I teach you how to ski? ;D

You can only uninstall given IE version, but not a program as a whole.
Uninstall IE8. It goes back to IE7.
Uninstall IE7. It goes back to IE6.
If you have IE6, there is no uninstall option in Add\Remove.

And if anybody wants IE 5.5,5,4, or heaven forbid, 3... they probably need psychiatric help.
