Title: Upgrading Microsoft Office and Publisher.
Post by: dennohue on May 16, 2010, 01:52:57 PM
I have a desktop PC running Microsoft Office Pro 97 and Microsoft Publisher 2000.

I have just bought a netbook and would like to run Word, Excel and Publisher 2010 on both! What is the simplest way of going about this? Having looked carefully at Microsoft's website I find it difficult to find the answer.

Purchase Office 2010. You will be licensed to install to one fixed computer and one portable device such as a laptop.

I don't believe an "upgrade" version of Office 2010 is available; as I understand it, they have discontinued the practice of offering an upgrade version.  Anyway, even if they were still doing that, I doubt Office 97 would qualify for an upgrade; it's too old.
