I just installed windows 7 because my hard drive crapped out but i installed the 64 bit but i think i needed the 32 bit because my video card has disappeared i think.... it says i have a standard vga adapter but i have a nvidea video card so does it somehow not recognize it since i installed 64 bit instead of a 32 bit?

Because you need to install Win7 64bit drivers for it...

go here
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
and select option #2 Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products
Click on Graphics Drivers. It will automatically scan your computer and search for the drivers you need.

Could it be that you need to reinstall ur graphics card?
