Title: Control panel opens when i try to open a folder
Post by: humtum1234 on December 26, 2008, 04:56:25 PM
I had locked and hidden one of the folders on my computer. I used Folder Access to lock it. Later my computer was formatted and now the folder which is in D drive...windows in C drive appears as control panel. When i open the folder, Control panel opens . But when i move the folder i can see the contents moving..
Please help me in retrieving these files.
I also installed Recover My Files to get those files..but i was able to get only few of them.
Please help me

What do you mean?  Was just partition C: formatted and Win re-installed or was the entire disk reformatted?

Are C and D two separate hard drives?
Did this start as soon as you reinstalled windows?

Have you tried system restore?

Do you have any virus protection?

Folder Access is a program to lock files right? You may be able to reinstall that program and get to them if you still have the product key. You might want to contact the Folder Access people and explain what happened.
