Title: Outlook .pst files
Post by: targa29 on January 12, 2006, 10:16:03 AM
Hi, I have an outlook 2000 .pst file that has gone over the 2gb limit, I have run a reduction programme and taken it to about 1.85gb but when I run the outlook repair tool it completes the scan but when I push the repair button the programme hangs up and stops responding. HELP please.

are you trying to fix it ot clean it out? What kind of program is it that you use to compact it? Was it from outlook or was it a 3rd party software. If it hangs and looks like it crashes it just might be taking longer to fix it system specs will be helpful here

The programme I am running is the outlook inbox repair tool which automatically downloads whe outlook is downloaded.

The reduction programme takes a chunk of information from the file to reduce the size.
