Title: pc power down problem
Post by: tomas radzinski on May 14, 2005, 07:28:38 AM
Hi,

My PC won't power down. It goes to close down and then restarts. I've changed the power supply - to no effect.

Any ideas on diagnosis and/or fix gratefully received.

Thanks in advance,

Tomas

Which operating system are you using? Do you have virus protection?

If (like me) you just push the power button down once to shut it down (a feature of XP) instead of going to Start-Turn Off Computer etc, then it may be a setting is all. Also run a full system scan on your pc along with the demo of Spyware Doctor, it sounds as if you may have a malware problem. But check the Power options first :) Cheers.
