Title: Harddrive with xp problem
Post by: rex on October 17, 2004, 04:41:00 AM
Tricky one this!! Computer - celeron 333 ram 384 60g hardrive with xp pro operating system.  This ran ok for a couple of years then go the blue window of death!.  Reformatted on another computer and put another copy of xp pro on.  This worked fine on the other computer but when I loaded it onto the original computer I got another blue screen saying something about BIOS compatability.  However I can put a 4gig harddrive running Win98 on the original computer without any problems.  Why is the 60gig hardrive no longer working on the original computer??

Have you tried flashing your BIOS to the latest revision?

If you do as the instructions tell you, nothing can go wrong.
