Title: USB Header help
Post by: nymph4 on November 14, 2008, 08:24:42 PM
I am connecting my Towers USB Wires to my Motherboards USB Header connection.

I know the Pin Layout and ware to find Pin 1. and Pin 2. that I understand but I need help with one thing.

The USB Cable coming from my Tower has all USB Wires and I know what they are and they are named.

But the First USB Wire says USB = 5 V and this goes on Pin 1. of the USB Header on my Motherboard.

Now when I look at my Motherboard it has Pin 1. USB PWR

So do you see what I am asking the Wires coming from the Tower do not match the Pin names on the Motherboard so how do I know were they go.

Thanks

No what I ment is the Wire coming from the cass says VCC   and it should go to VCC on the Motherboard but it only has USB PWR.

So I did not know if USB PWR was also called  VCC.
And there are all other diferant wire names to and they don't match the Motherboard if I put them in wrong will it damage the Board?
