Title: HELP! windows movie maker saying another user is running it when they arent???

hello,
i am doing a uni assigment requiring me to use movie maker however for some reason the other day it was working and now it wont open..... it says "another user is running windows movie maker on this computer. please close the other session before starting W M M again." i am the only user on this laptop and it is brand new so i dont know what is going on????
cn anyone help me. i cant do my assignment till i work it out!!!

Is there an icon in the tray on the taskbar ? ?

Check Task Manager to see if MM is running in the background [without starting MM].  If so, end the task & try again.
