Title: cdrom cannt read any disc

hi, im using OS XP prof. in change the the assign letter of dcrom from letter j to d, after i change the cdrom assign letter it never read any disc i insert. what will i do to make it read again?

 Thanks.i dont have partition my hard drive is only 10gigs.i already return it to previous letter but it is still not read any disc.

reboot keep tapping the f8 and chose last good config and i am just wondering if this is a laptop...with swapable drives....

gud pm again,ill already did what u told me but still problem persist, my pc is not a laptop.
