Title: internet only works when my computer in "Safe Mode with networking" = help?
Post by: geriann on September 03, 2014, 02:21:08 PM: when i open Internet Explorer in normal mode the IE/internet screen is blank/white.

a box pops up & says "MSN.com is not working". the only option on the box is the click on the "recover webpage" button.

when i click on it a box pops up & says "windows is checking for solutions".

when it's done checking, a box pops up & says "internet explorer stopped working. a pronlem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available". the only option on that box is to click on the "close program" button. so i click on that, which closes the IE/internet screen.

each time i try to open the IE/internet it's the same thing.

however when i put my computer in "Safe Mode with networking" the internet/IE works with no problems!

can anyoone tell me what could be causing this?

how can i fix it?

i looked...just the usual list of computer things..no yellow ! or ?

now i'm wondering what advised step to do? or which to do first?
A) restore my computer back to a healthy point in time using the page i found on this website... http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000589.htm
B) reset my IE browser [& clear cache files/cookies] using... http://www.mytechguide.org/9560/reset-internet-explorer-ries/

You didn't mention how the PC is connected.
The fact it works in safemode leads me to suspect a missing/corrupt driver...

Post by: a2ftweaks on October 08, 2014, 12:13:09 PM: That's a typical sign of some mal ware in your computer, all you have to do is going to download . com and install mal ware byte, make the full scan I believe you will be OK once the scan finish
