My IE6 History recently stopped recording new pages visited.
Previous History is still OK going back 38 weeks, and it still makes folders for the current day; but no URLs are recorded there.
I presume the Histry cache-size must've been exceeded, and tried changing registry settings to increase it.
I found three registry entries relating to History cache size, and increased all of them; but it had no effect.
I'm using Windows 98 Second Edition.

Have you tried changing some things in the Internet Option?
-
Yes I have.
However there does not appear to be a way to change the History cache size; only the temporary internet files cache size (which is not relevant to my problem).
-
Is there a paticular reason you want to keep history files that old? I think the default setting is 7 day's but I have mine set a 2. I would lower the day's stored, clean out the folder and see what happen's then.
-
Try removing those recent files and try to use the default setting 7 and see if that new address will be stored on your history.
-
I don't want to remove the files or clear the history.
I would like to preserve a full record of URL's for as long as possible, as I find it very useful at times. E.g. If a file on my hard-drive gets corrupted, I can use Internet History Explorer to find out where I originally downloaded it from, and replace it. Has saved my bacon several times!
Accordingly I have set my History to 999 days.
